True Health Acupuncture Practitioners

One of my greatest joys is to see people get healthier, to help them exceed their expectations and actualize their goals through natural medicine”.
— Dr. Angela Nation

Founder Dr. Angela Nation OMD, FABORM

I was originally on the path to becoming a Physician Assistant or attending medical school when my direction shifted—dramatically and permanently—toward Chinese Medicine. I’d always been passionate about health, fitness, nutrition, and herbs, but I wasn’t sure how to turn that into a meaningful career.

That changed while I was volunteering at a kidney dialysis center. I witnessed firsthand the remarkable improvement acupuncture had on a patient’s kidney function—quantifiable changes that were impossible to ignore. That moment sparked a deep curiosity. I began devouring everything I could find about acupuncture, the Five Elements, and the ways people restored health naturally rather than relying solely on pharmaceuticals. I couldn’t get enough.

After completing my Bachelor’s degree, I enrolled at Bastyr University in Seattle—one of the nation’s leading institutions for natural health—and spent the next four years immersed in the art and science of Chinese Medicine.

I’ve practiced acupuncture and Chinese Medicine since 2006. Early in my career, I worked at one of Indiana’s premier acupuncture clinics, treating more than 150 patients a week—an exceptional patient volume for an acupuncturist. After several years, I relocated to Las Vegas with the goal of sharing my knowledge and contributing to the growth of our profession.

As a professor at Wongu University of Oriental Medicine, I have the privilege of teaching future OMDs in herbology, nutrition, OB/GYN, and pediatrics. Helping cultivate the next generation of practitioners is one more way I support the health of our community.

At True Health Acupuncture, our mission is to create meaningful change in the lives of women, men, athletes, expectant mothers, and children.

If you’re ready to stop just managing symptoms and ready to obtain health, your time is now.

Join me on the path to true health—let’s work together.

Liz Cabezas, Reiki Practitioner

Hello, my name is Liz Cabezas. I’m a mom of three, a mind–body connection enthusiast, and an Usui Reiki II Practitioner. At True Health Acupuncture, you’ll often find me at the front desk or assisting our doctors. Behind the scenes, I’m deeply committed to holistic approaches to self-healing through Reiki, meditation, yoga, mindfulness, exercise, and acupuncture—modalities that support the connection between mind, body, and spirit.

Reiki became a profound positive force in my own healing journey, and in 2023 I felt called to become a Reiki practitioner. As a practitioner, I feel honored to hold space for others—creating a safe, supportive environment for Reiki energy to flow and for healing, harmony, and balance to unfold.

Reiki is a Japanese holistic healing modality discovered by the Buddhist monk Mikao Usui. It is gentle yet powerful, using light touch and specific hand placements to raise the recipient’s energetic vibration. This supports healing of the physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual bodies.

Common benefits of Reiki include reduced stress, deep relaxation, serenity, relief of muscular tension, pain reduction, and activation of the body’s natural healing abilities. Additional benefits may include increased self-esteem, balanced emotional and energetic states, and a strengthened connection to intuition and inner guidance.

I am deeply grateful and excited to offer Reiki sessions here at True Health Acupuncture, and I look forward to supporting our community on their healing journeys.
